Foreign students in Germany by subject group

Most foreign students are enrolled in the engineering subject group, while the law, economics and social sciences subject group dominates among German students. In its subject classification system, the Federal Statistical Office distinguishes between eight subject groups and a residual category of other subjects. Using the drop-down menu, subject groups of foreign students at German universities can be selected or deselected for display in the graph. You can also switch between viewing all foreign students, foreign students and domestic students.
