• Google Chrome
• Microsoft Edge
• Mozilla Firefox
• Safari
PDF-Dokumente
To view files in PDF format, you need a programme. You can download it, for example, from the Adobe website (Software: Adobe Reader).
Gender sensitive writing
Wissenschaft weltoffen strives for a gender-sensitive form of writing that supports social diversity and the basic idea of equal treatment. The slash is used for frequently used terms to avoid phrases or sentence constructions that disturb the flow of reading (e.g. Wissenschaftler/innen). The slash is also recognised by most screen readers as a gender marker and read out accordingly (so-called glottal stop).
