Foreign students in Germany by type of degree programme

While Bildungsinländer are increasingly enrolled in Bachelor’s degree programmes at German universities, Bildungsausländer are mostly enrolled in Master’s degree programmes. A distinction can be made between Bachelor’s, Master’s, doctoral and other types of degree (Magister, Diplom, Staatsexamen). In addition, there are students who are not seeking a degree in Germany but are only on a temporary study visit to Germany (guest or exchange students). The degree types can be selected and deselected as required via the drop-down menu. You can also switch between viewing all foreign students, international students and domestic students.
